To wire up: the appointment request form needs a HIPAA-compliant backend and a signed business associate agreement before it collects anything from a patient. Until then these buttons dial the office, which is what most of our patients prefer anyway. Embedded maps and directions links also to be added.
Plans we accept
We accept Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, WellMed and most other major plans. Medicare covers medically necessary cataract surgery with a standard monofocal lens; premium lens options involve additional out-of-pocket cost that we quote in writing before you schedule.
If you do not see your plan, call us. Coverage changes more often than any list on a website.
Before your visit
We are always accepting new patients, and we are glad to give second opinions. You do not need a referral to make an appointment with us.
Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, a list of your current medications, and your glasses. If you wear contact lenses, ask us how long to leave them out before a surgical evaluation — it changes your measurements.
For our established patients
If you have an urgent eye problem outside office hours, call our office number and follow the prompts. One of our physicians is on call for our patients at all times.
If you are not currently a patient of this practice and you are having an eye emergency, please go to your nearest emergency room.
